Itinerary Details
Day 1 Ahmedabad

After reaching the Ahmedabad airport, you will meet our tour representative who will help you with guided transfer to the pre-decided hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax for a while. Afternoon is scheduled to explore the top attractions of Ahmedabad, India’s first UNESCO World Heritage city!

First destination of the trip is Calico Museum of Textiles. As the name suggests, the Gallery is a premier textile museum of India. One of the most distinguished institutions of its kind in the world, the museum showcases a comprehensive and renowned collection of Indian textiles.

Post this, you will be taken to the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple – the iconic landmark of Gujarat. Soak-in the everlasting serenity and marvel at its beautiful architecture. The novel experience of visiting the temple will be etched in your heart forever.

Thereafter, visit the Sabarmati Ashram. A collection of manuscripts of Gandhiji’s writings are carefully preserved and showcased in the museum. An important witness of the many historical events, the museum has several tales to tell.

After visiting the museum, proceed towards the Adalaj Stepwell in Gandhinagar. The step well presents a fine example of Indian architectural work.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 Ahmedabad – Rajkot (220 Km/5 Hours Drive)

Start the day with a healthy breakfast. Afterwards, get ready to hit the roads to Rajkot, the city famous for garba/dandiya and traditional sweets. Numerous history buffs and followers of Mahatma Gandhi visit the city.

There will be a halt en route to visit the famous Jalaram Temple at Virpur. The sacred place is dedicated to Hindu saint Jalaram from Gujarat. The temple does not accept money. Various belongings of the holy saint are preserved in the shrine.

Continue your journey towards Rajkot. Upon reaching the hotel in the evening, complete the check-in formalities and enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 3 Rajkot – Somnath (189 Km/5 Hours Drive)

Get transferred to the Somnath in the morning. After completing the check-in formalities at the hotel, rest of the day can be spend to explore the destination on your own. Somnath Temple is nestled in the Prabhas Patan near Veraval. Take a walk nearby and get amused by hearing the historic and religious significance of the temple. Make sure your return to the hotel before dusk.

Evening is reserved for visiting the Somnath Temple. The holy shrine is considered as the first one out of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Thus, it is an important pilgrimage in Gujarat. Various legends are associated with the sacred place and it holds a rich historical legacy as well.

After paying homage at the temple, return to hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 Somnath – Dwarka (230 km/5 Hours Drive)

Savor a hearty breakfast in the hotel. Post this, you will start the trip to Dwarka, the ancient city and a Hindu pilgrimage site. The town also enjoys the reputation of being one of the seven most ancient religious cities. The word Dwarka means the ‘Gateway to the heaven’ and is the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna.

Explore Porbandar, a coastal city en route. You will be taken to various tourist attractions of the town. Famed as the birthplace of Sudama, Lord Krishna’s friend and Mahatma Gandhi, the city is a popular trading hub as well.

Once done with exploring the coastal city, continue your journey towards Dwarka. Upon reaching in the evening, complete the check-in formalities. Enjoy a good night sleep in the hotel.

Day 5 Dwarka

5th day of the Best of Gujarat tour is scheduled for sightseeing in Dwarka. Cover the major attractions of the ancient city and see how beautiful the place is! First take the blessings of the Lord with a visit to the famous Dwarkadheesh temple. Complete Darshan, and then come down the flight of 56 steps from the temple’s Swarga Dwar to reach the River Gomati. Take a holy dip at Gomti Sangam Ghat, where the river meets the sea. The holy site washes away one’s sins. Visit the many Ghats built along the river, the most important being the Chakratirtha Ghat bearing a legendary white stone chakra or wheel. If time permits, embark on boat ride on River Gomati, enjoying the sights of the city.

Soon after, proceed for the other sightseeing places of Dwarka which includes places like Beyt Dwarka, Rukmini Mandir, Nageshwar Jyotirlingam, Gopi Talav, Bhadkeshwar Mahadev temple, Hanuman Dandi temple, Samudra Narayana temple, Gita Mandir.

Return to hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6 Dwarka – Jamnagar airport

The wonderful Gujarat tour ends on day 6. Today, you will be transferred to the Jamnagar Airport to board the flight for your onward journey.
