Itinerary Details
Day 1 Arrive in Mumbai

Upon arrival at Mumbai Airport, enjoy a comfortable ride to hotel. Mumbai, the 'City of Dreams' becomes lively at night. Take a walk up to Marine Drive or visit Juhu Beach. Savor some of the lip smacking street food. Enjoy an overnight stay in Mumbai.

Day 2 Mumbai Sightseeing

After a delicious breakfast, leave for sightseeing. A lot of exciting experiences are ready to mesmerize you. An enthralling motorboat ride from Gateway of India, the iconic landmark of the city to Elephanta Caves awaits for you. At the Elephanta Caves, admire a huge Trimurti idol of Lord Shiva with three heads. Post this, you will be taken to Hanging Gardens for amazing sunset views, Prince of Wales Museum to get glimpses of glorious History and Parliament House. Visit Jain Temples, a shrine dedicated to Adishwara and Marine Drive. Spend the night in Mumbai.

Day 3 Mumbai - Lonavala

Satiate your hunger with a scrumptious lunch. Proceed towards Lonavala, a scenic hill station and famous tourist place in Maharashtra. Spend your day at leisure and visit Karla and Bhaja Caves, ancient Buddhist shrines carved out of the rocks. Don't forget to taste the famous Chikki, a sweetmeat. This destination offers awe-inspiring views during monsoon season. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 Lonavala - Khandala

Visit Khandala after having your breakfast. Unravel at Bhushi Dam, a masonry dam en route. Submerge in the reviving ambiance of Khandala. Soak in the beauty of sunset views. A perfect weekend getaway engages you in several adventure activities. Salubrious climate makes it an ideal destination to be at during monsoon. An overnight stay in Lonavala.

Day 5 Khandala – Matheran

Get ready for a 2-hours journey to Matheran post breakfast. Unwind amidst the serene surroundings. Don't be surprised if you find no-motor vehicles here. This tranquil hill station follows the 'No Motor Vehicle' policy and tourists arrive here via narrow-gauge railway. Take a tour to well-known tourist attractions like Chowk Point for picturesque views and Panorama point for sunrise views. Louisa Point is a hilltop lookout point with scenic views and Garbut Point gives a panoramic views of the waterfalls and neighboring mountains. Do visit Echo Point to hear the surrounding mountains calling your name in echo. Enjoy a sound sleep in the hotel.

Day 6 Matheran – Nashik

Post breakfast, proceed towards Nashik, an ancient holy city. The links of this city are related to Ramayana. It takes around 2 hours to reach the destination. Complete the Check-in formalities at the hotel. Relax for a while. In the afternoon, visit Sunder Narayan Temple, a masterpiece and a true example of the temple art culture of India. Sita Gufaa is an interesting place to visit as this is the spot from where Devi Sita was kidnapped by Ravana. Seek the blessings at Trimbakeshwar Temple in Nashik which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and counted as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 Nashik – Shirdi Sai Temple

Post breakfast, head towards Sai Baba Temple, Shirdi. Upon reaching, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Pay homage at the sanctum sanctorum. Take some time out to visit the nearby attractions like Dwarkamai, Gurusthan, Lendi Baugh and Baba's Chavadi. Spend rest of the day in leisure. Return back to hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 8 Shirdi Sai Temple – Aurangabad

Relish a nutritious breakfast. Get going for a 4-hour journey to Aurangabad, the 'City of Gates'. After check-in, move towards the city tour. Explore Daulatabad Fort – one of the seven wonders of Maharashtra, Deogiri Fortress – rich tapestry of History, Bibi ka Maqbara or Baby Taj Mahal – a replica of the Taj. Spend the rest of the day at Panchakki, a stunning water mill. An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 Aurangabad – Excursion to Ellora Caves

After having breakfast move for a day trip to Ellora caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Out of the 100 plus caves, 34 are open to the public. Dating back to 6th and 11th century, these caves are dedicated to Brahmanism, Buddhism and Jainism. Viharaas, Kailasa Temple and the Buddhist Vishvakarma Chaitya grab the attention instantaneously. Be back at Aurangabad for an overnight stay.

Day 10 Aurangabad – Excursion to Ajanta Caves

Post breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Ajanta Caves, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. A cluster of 29 caves dating back to 2nd and 6th century are dedicated to Buddhism. These caves depict the relics from the life of Buddha and his teachings. The paintings and sculptures are the added charm of these caves. An overnight stay at the hotel in Aurangabad.

Day 11 Aurangabad – Mumbai

Get transferred to Mumbai airport and board a flight for onward journey with fond memories of the Best of Maharashtra tour.
