After the check-in formalities, the day is at leisure. You can explore the place as per your liking. Popular for its religious, artistic and culinary delights, the place is a mix of old-world charms and new-age allures.

Day 2 Chennai – Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
Today, start your road journey to Mahabalipuram. On the way, halt at Kanchipuram, a peaceful city that is dotted with several temples. Kanchi Kamakshi temple, Ekambareswar temple, Sri Kailasanathar Temple, and Kanchi Kudil are some of the popular attractions that you can visit. Continue to Mahabalipuram. Upon arriving, check into the hotel. If time and energy permit, you can explore the ancient port city on your own.

Day 3 Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, get ready for sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of group of monuments at Mahabalipuram. Positioned on the Coromandel Coast of Bay of Bengal, the structural complex was built between 7th and 8th century. Explore the Shore temple, Panch Rathas, Mandapas, and Krishna Cave temple, which are some of the main attractions that must be explored. These all are a fine example of Dravidian style of architecture, built by the rulers of Pallava dynasty.

Day 4 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry
On day 4, start your road journey to Pondicherry. On reaching, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. After freshening-up, get ready for sightseeing including Aurobindo Ashram – a peaceful, spiritual ashram that teaches a disciplined way of life, and the Pondicherry Museum – housing a fine collection of bronze and stone sculptures from the times of Pallava and Chola rulers as well as artefacts excavated from Arikamedu, an ancient port.

Day 5 Pondicherry - Thanjavur
In the morning, the road journey to Thanjavur starts. On reaching, check-in at the hotel. The attractions that you visit today include the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Brihadeeshwarar temple - a Hindu temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Thanjavur Palace Museum- locally known as Aranmanai, it is the official residence of the Bhonsle family who ruled Tanjore from 1674 to 1855. It is now a museum housing a wonderful collection.

Day 6 Thanjavur - Trichy
In the morning, after breakfast, start your road journey for Trichy. As you reach, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel. Later on, get ready for city tour of Trichy including Rock Fort Temple or Ucchi Pillayar Temple – a 7th century temple that is dedicated to Lord Ganesha; and Jambukeshwara Temple – one of the Early Chola temples that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The next visit is to the Srirangam Temple, also known as Ranganathaswamy Temple. It is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha, a reclining form of the Lord Vishnu.
